The specs of the Z100A seem to be the same as the Z-100 Plus antenna tuner.

Given that the Z-100A costs $200 and the Z-100 Plus costs $160, there is no mention of an inbuilt battery on the Z-100A so I presume the extra costs of the Z-100A are because it has the ability to remember your 2000 frequency memory storage. The only advantage that I can see in using the Z-100A is that the radio supplies the power to the tuner. Looking at the DX Engineering site the IC-108 cable has a Y adaptor that uses the 8 pin Yaesu connector to supply power to the Z-100A and a 3 pin 3mm plug to trigger the 891 into tune mode. The cable supplied uses a 4 pin Molex to 6 pin connector.
